Lesson Information and Packages

      Fred Astaire's "Three Way System" of instruction gives you the most complete way to become an accomplished dancer! You will be prepared for any social occasion with our combination of Private Lessons, Group Lessons and Practice Parties.

Our Private Lessons are the most helpful way of learning. Whether you are single or a couple, your private lessons offer an opportunity to work on the specific needs of the different dances you choose, enabling you to progress at the fastest rate possible. 

Group Classes are the most popular and very important part of becoming a well rounded dancer, and are a great way to meet others who share a common interest. Most classes average four to ten people. They are comprised of singles and couples alike with one instructor and usually focus on several patterns in one dance.

Our Practice Parties are a great way to meet people while learning how to dance "in a crowd". They offer a safe and comfortable environment to practice what you have been learning in your other lessons. They are also very popular with our students because of the fun family atmosphere!

The best place to get started is our Introductory Program. This sample program consists of (3) 30 minute private lessons, (1) group class lesson and (1) fun-filled practice party session. It will give you a chance to learn the basic steps to the most popular and useful social dances. After your introductory special, you will have a better idea of which dances you would like to pursue.

Showcases

      Showcases are designed for students who find exhibition dancing exciting. At these events the students are the stars. They often dance with their instructor and perform specially choreographed dance routines to music of their choice. Any level student can participate and friends and family are always amazed at the level of talent. There are spectacular professional routines as well. Come out for an exciting afternoon at our next showcase.

Competitions

      We encourage our students to get involved in competitive dancing. Competitions are a great way to gain confidence, experience and have fun, too! Set goals for yourself. Start small by dancing in a "spotlight dance" with your instructor at one of our practice or guest parties. Then try performing for your family, friends and dance peers by dancing in one of our regularly scheduled showcases. After that, the world is your oyster...Fred Astaire Competitions, Pro/Ams and regional and national competitions await you!

Bronze Package

      The Bronze is designed for the person who wishes to become a Good Social Dancer. It is the most popular standard for our students, and the first Trophy Program available to new students. A Bronze dancer is considered fun to dance with in all the popular social dances and they have the complete confidence in the figures taught. Bronze dancers have the necessary styling to create a pleasant appearance on the dance floor and can cope with almost any dance occasion.

Silver Package

      The Silver is for the person who wishes to become an Advanced Social Dancer. Versatility and style in all the popular social dances distinguish silver dancers. This is a beautiful and practical standard of dancing for those who wish to be sought after on the dance floor.

      DanceSport Silver - A versatile and stylized social and exhibition dancer.

Gold Package

      The Gold is for the person who wishes to become an Excellent Ballroom Dancer. Gold dancers have the confidence that comes with a complete and thorough knowledge of all the major ballroom dances. Advanced style and poise in all of the ballroom dances sets the Gold dancer apart from all others.

International Package

      Analogous to the discipline of figure skating, the International Style of dancing requires a thorough study of specific standardized techniques and movements that are now studied and continually improved upon by competitors of every major country in the world. The movement and style of the Modem Ballroom dances was established over 50 years ago, whereas the Latin American dances were more recently standardized to be included in major World and International dance championships. The dances of the International Style provide one of the most exciting courses of study for the contemporary dancer interested in competitive dancing. Awards include the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Gold Star Trophies in both the Modern Ballroom and Latin American sections.
